5 friends, 5 cars, 5 countries, 5 days, and some of the best driving roads in Europe.
I’ve loved cars since I was young, and had always dreamed of doing a European roadtrip. So when I got back from my world trip I saved and bought a car I’d always wanted, a BMW M3, and arranged a trip across France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Germany. The Swiss alps were particularly fun to drive, we drove the famous Furka and Grimsel passes, and the road from Goldfinger. These were seriously fun roads to drive, weaving up and down the mountains with hundreds of hairpin corners. The mountain air was fresh and the mountains were lush and green. We also visited some Swiss cities/towns such as Interlaken (which is on an incredible bright blue river), and Basel and Bern which were so clean and orderly. After Switzerland we headed north through Germany’s Black Forest to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart and had some fun on the Autobahns.
As a bunch of petrolheads we really enjoyed this trip, it was something straight out of Top Gear and it was the perfect way to see more of Europe. We have a much longer roadtrip planned for summer 2015.
